Mehmet Turan

“My name is Mehmet Turan; I am a post-production artist (retoucher) based in Istanbul, Turkey. I love photography, mostly the digital part of it. I like compositing, CGI, and using digital effects. In some cases, I work with exceptionally gifted CGI artists to create the most demanding and complex scenes and make the impossible possible. I retouch almost any type of work, but what I enjoy most are the complex composites that require good planning and work requiring CGI elements.

As I started to learn retouching for my work, found it inspiring, and decided to show what I can do for other gifted artists and jumped to agencies and corporations. I started retouching with Photoshop 7 and doing digital art now for two decades. My main clients are ad agencies, but due to pending NDAs, I’m not allowed to share all the work.

My belief is based on first understanding the original vision of the photographer and enhancing it. I try to keep images natural, simple, and straightforward.”
